Il parquet prefinito è una validissima alternativa al parquet tradizionale e si presenta in listelli composti da legno nobile nello strato superficiale e da legno meno pregiato nella parte sottostante, che svolge una funzione di supporto, dando stabilità e resistenza alla tavola.

I listelli di parquet prefinito sono già levigati e verniciati, per cui il processo di montaggio è più veloce  ed economico e può essere posato incollato o flottante, applicando un sottopavimento. Quest’ultima è la tecnica maggiormente utilizzata: esistono diverse tipologie di materassino, ma la nostra ditta  SARDEGNA PARQUET consiglia di utilizzare un sottopavimento in sughero, in quanto è un ottimo isolante acustico e garantisce una migliore aderenza del pavimento.

Il parquet prefinito è meno durevole nel tempo rispetto al tradizionale perché è possibile levigarlo meno volte, ma il risultato è comunque garantito ed è difficile distinguerlo dal parquet vero e proprio.

Oltre ai pavimenti tradizionali in legno massiccio, sul mercato esistono pavimenti multistrato prefiniti composti da un primo strato in legno nobile, il cui spessore può variare, a seconda del materiale, da 6 mm a 2,7 mm comunemente lo spessore si aggira sui 3/5 mm. Al di sotto dei 2,5 mm di spessore si ricordi che non è da definire parquet. Quando lo strato di legno nobile è incollato su un supporto in legno dolce si parla di due strati, che può essere in multistrato (cioè più sfoglie da circa 1mm di spessore l’una) o lamellare (cioè una sola sfoglia spessa più millimetri).

Legni nobili comunemente usati sono: rovere, doussié, wengé, olivo, noce, iroko, teak, merbau, afrormosia, faggio, Cabreuva, Panga Panga ,Padouk  e bambù.

In quanto prefiniti in laboratorio (e non in opera) si prestano a finiture particolari quali colorazioni tramite pigmenti, decappature (cioè colorazioni a pigmenti in contrasto tra la fibra e la base del legno), spazzolatura della fibra (la quale conferisce effetto ruvido; è il contrario della levigatura), microbisellatura dei lati della tavola (spigoli smussati e non vivi), piallature a mano, spigoli spaccati sui vari lati della tavola, piano sega (la superficie della tavola presenta seghetteture trasversali rispetto all’andamento della venatura), termotrattamenti (lasciato essiccare per x tempo a x temperatura il legno nobile cambia tono di colore scurendo in tutto lo spessore), decorazioni ad acqua.

Il trattamento finale può essere ad olio o vernice. La finitura ad olio (quelli vegetali hanno residui tossici quasi nulli) richiede una manutenzione costante e non è idrorepellente nel primo periodo di vita (un anno circa con manutenzione corretta) quindi è soggetto ad aloni ma conferisce l’aspetto più naturale.

Le vernici sono di più facile manutenzione e in commercio se ne trovano di “naturale UV o effetto cera” con meno gloss di lucentezza rispetto alle vernici satinate (semi lucide).
